I’m happy to announce that my story The God In The Glass has been accepted for publication in the upcoming issue of Midnight Tales! The story is a bit different from my usual fare – it’s still horror, but it takes place in a grim swords-and-sorcery fantasy world.
Set in the haunted city of Kareth Mor — a place where blood seeps through the cobblestones and shadows whisper secrets to those who dare to listen — The God In The Glass follows Jorah, a thief and poet whose latest job lands him in the crosshairs of nobles, sorcerers, and something far worse. Betrayed by a petty lord, wounded, and on the run, Jorah seeks sanctuary with Malgorath the Unblinking, a cadaverous wizard whose aid always comes at a terrible cost. What starts as a simple heist involving an ancient mirror quickly devolves into a surreal descent into the Undercity, where forgotten gods slumber and reality begins to fracture.
The God In The Glass is part grimdark fantasy, part cosmic horror — if you enjoy tales of sorcery, betrayal, body horror, and cities that dream in nightmares, this one’s for you.
Look for it soon in Midnight Tales #9!
